Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy
Effective September 24, 2026
Some of the information jimmy handles is "consumer health data" under laws such as Washington's My Health My Data Act. This page covers that data specifically. Our general Privacy Policy covers everything else.
What we collect, where it comes from, and why
Heart rate and active calories
Source: Apple Health, through HealthKit, and only if you grant permission.
Why: To show your own workout statistics: calories, average heart rate, your heart rate during each set, and your heart-rate chart.
Health-check answers
Source: You, when you turn on Coach. Seven yes/no questions about heart conditions, chest pain, dizziness, long-term conditions, medication, joint problems and medical supervision, plus confirmation that you are 18 or older and not pregnant.
Why: Only to decide whether Coach can be turned on for you. If you tell us any of these applies, Coach stays off and we store nothing about which one.
Workout history
Source: You, as you log workouts: exercises, sets, weights, reps, how a set felt, and the scores jimmy calculates from them.
Why: To save your training, show your progress, and, if Coach is on, suggest your next set and plan your week.
Anything health-related you write in Coach settings
Source: You. Your goal, constraints and training preference are free text, so they may include things like an injury.
Why: To plan training around what you tell us.
We collect this data only when you ask for the feature that needs it, and with your consent: the iOS permission prompt for Apple Health, and your tap on "Turn on Coach" for everything Coach uses.
Who receives it
We never sell consumer health data, and we never use it for advertising.
- Supabase: stores all of the data above on our behalf, as our processor.
- Vercel: runs our servers, as our processor.
- Anthropic, only while Coach is on, as our processor: receives your goal, constraints, training preference and a summary of your workout history, so it can write your weekly plan. It never receives your heart rate, calories, health-check answers or pregnancy status.
We do not share consumer health data with anyone else, and we have no affiliates that receive it. We would only disclose it beyond this list if the law required us to.
Your rights
- Know and access: ask whether we hold your consumer health data, get a copy, and get the list of everyone we have shared it with.
- Delete: delete your account in the app (Settings → Delete account), or email us. This deletes your consumer health data from our systems, and our processors delete their copies too. The one exception is the Coach audit log (the plans Coach wrote and what they were based on), which we keep for 7 years for safety and legal reasons, unlinked from your name and email, as our Privacy Policy describes.
- Withdraw consent:turn off Apple Health access in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health, or turn off Coach in the app's Settings.
